Today was the long-awaited premiere of one of the most anticipated vehicles this year - a concept BMW X6. This crossover with the silhouette coupé launch new compact SUV class called SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle), which means "a sports car for active lifestyles."

Visitors could not see the serial version, a concept, though, as claimed by Bavarii, car almost ready for production and will be in car dealerships as early as 2008.

According to Boss BMW designer Chris Bengla (Chris Bangle) for a good concept in the serial model requires very little time. "And, without a doubt, the new X6 falls in that category.

Designer Pierre Leclair (Pierre Leclercq), which owes its car appearance, said that X6" is a sports car, a BMW spirit.

Actually, a loaded M5 reaches just over 100k and I imagine that is where the X6M will be too. As it is, a loaded X6 5.0 is more expensive than a loaded X5 (around 90k if you get the special rims too) and usually the addition of the M version on any of their cars usually tacks on an extra 10-15k. So my guess is they'll be somewhat equal in price, but I agree that the X6 M is faster, has more technology offered (which it already has like the actual seats and functions from the 7 series) and more.

Well I just bought one these Friday for my birhtday - Damn! - it is BAD ASS! I'm coming from an X5 4.8 so this thing represents a serious upgrade in fun and style for me personally. I agree with the HATER comment below. Not liking it is one thing but saying it is ugly - that's just ignorant. I say go test drive one - then tell me it's ugly!
I just purchased the X6M. A great vehicle. twin turbo v8, 555hp. Very Fast.
When a design concept it truly new and unique, often people don't like it as it's not as expected. Over time people warm up to the new design. Some of the negative comments here are as expected, but these comments really only reflect those with an inability to accept newness.
